The Clubs' waters are on the farm Middelpunt between Belfast and Dullstroom in Mpumalanga.

There are eight dams available ranging from small to fifteen acres. These dams are stocked regularly with Rainbow Trout from 30cm upwards. There are also some very large Grass Carp in the dams but these are protected as they perform a valuable weed control function. The current Club Record for a rainbow trout is over 3,7kg.  Some of the dams are also stocked with Brown Trout.

The Club offers accommodation in the form of an old renovated farmhouse consisting of eight bedrooms and a lapa (with beds and mattresses), a lounge, bathrooms and showers, a kitchen with 3 gas stoves, a microwave, 3 fridges and deep freezes, and a variety of cooking utensils. There is hot and cold running water and electricity.  There is no telephone. The borehole water is quite safe for drinking but some members do prefer to take their own drinking water supply.

We limit our membership to 110, which is presently fully subscribed. Our Membership fees at present are R330.00 per month that covers the Member, spouse and children under 21 plus a R20.00 levy which goes towards the Club kitty for repairs and maintenance.

You may join the Waiting List if you wish. In order to do so, an entrance fee of R200.00 is required and you need a Proposer / Seconder.  Membership of the Federation of Southern African Fly Fishers (FOSAF) is also a prerequisite and if you are not a member already we will enroll you.  Current subscription to FOSAF is R200.00 per annum.  Refer to the FOSAF application form for books available through them too.

The advantages of joining the Waiting List are that your Entrance Fee will not be affected by any possible increase in the future and you are entitled to one free visit to the farm. You will also receive regular Newsletters and be invited to join any social functions. Most importantly you join the queue and in due course will rise to the top of the list.

While the Waiting List is relatively short, we cannot give any assurance as to how long it will be before a vacancy occurs.

On becoming a Member, the number of visits to the farm is not restricted. The only condition governing visits is the availability of accommodation. Bookings for accommodation are made through the Booking Officer who will advise whether rooms are available. There is no charge for accommodation although a fee of R4,00 per person per day is payable directly to the woman at the farm who performs such services as dishwashing, cleaning, fire making etc.

Members are allowed to kill six fish per day per rod or ten per family per day. Fish may also be returned but numbers are limited in order to protect the stock as stressed trout often die later.

Members are entitled to take guests to the farm but not more than once a month. The fee is currently R500.00 which includes 1 or 2 nights. a maximum of 2 guest rods, a guest room if required and a maximum of 4 people per guest party.  An additional fee of R250.00 per night is charged for additional days.  The cost for Day Visitors is R125.00 per person.

No guests are allowed on long weekends unless sharing the member's room or unless there is spare accommodation.  If a public holiday falls on a Thursday, Friday, Monday or Tuesday, this is deemed a long weekend.

Various social events are organised from time to time and Applicant Members on the Waiting List are invited. These events may take the form of a braai, a clinic or something similar.

Administration of the Club and management of the Fishery is jointly controlled by a Committee representing the Club and Dullstroom Trout Farm Ltd who are the Owners of the property. Routine maintenance of the facility and development projects are likewise a joint responsibility and frequently involve participation of the Members.
