Middelpunt Wild Flowers
Much of our land comprises veld in a pristine condition. grazed only by cattle and indigenous buck, plus large areas of both permanent and seasonal wetland.
Middelpunt in the summer is thus a wildflower hotspot, especially for the orchid family. The photos below probably only represent a fraction of the species present on Middelpunt, and we would welcome photos to add to the collection.
Our thanks go to Frans Krige, the local provincial conservation officer who is an orchid expert and identified most of these wildflowers.

The wildflower list on the website comprises some 50 species but we believe that many more can be added. The local nature conservation officer, an orchid expert, helps us with the identification.
